Originally from "the other" Washington (not the state — but a small town situated along the Ohio River in West Virginia), Dave Mistich joined NPR's Weekend Edition in April 2025 after nearly five years producing and editing for the Newscast unit. Before that, he spent almost a decade at West Virginia Public Broadcasting, a statewide network of public radio and television stations.
