I went to school for music, have degrees in performance (oboe and multiple woodwinds), and have been lucky enough to play some fabulous pieces with outstanding ensembles in many different settings.

When I was working on my master’s degree, I discovered the joy of sharing classical music on the radio. Now, I think I have one of the best jobs in the world, spending my days immersed in the music I love and sharing it with you.

As I make each playlist, I think about all kinds of things: the instrumentation of each piece, who wrote it and when, and more. But my favorite part is that I get to think about how each piece might enhance your day. It could be a burst of energy at just the right time or a quiet moment … time to breathe.
