  • Ever since my first time picking up the violin in middle school, I knew that music would always be a special part of my life.

Born in New York, I moved to Florida with only my mother and 3 sisters. I have always had a connection to music ever since I was young. Being enveloped within music is essentially my sanctuary. Starting off in a small ensemble, I have ventured my way into larger organizations like the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra after just a year of playing the violin. My musical background stretches farther than just orchestra as I have also played in concert bands and marching bands on a variety of different instruments.

I am currently an Undergraduate Music Studies major at the University of South Florida playing the French Horn, wanting to pursue a career in music and music knowledge. I have taught at band camps, middle schools, and have performed with local churches and other avenues.

After USF, I plan to take my musical education and journey up north to pursue a career within music administration, business, and creation. I also intend to keep teaching and working around local schools and offering private lessons.
  • Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, WUSF and WSMR have always been a consistent part of my life’s soundtrack. From the time I began piano lessons at the age of 5, music has been my life’s passion.

Now, I am a percussionist, educator, and performer in the Tampa Bay area. I am currently an undergraduate at USF, seeking dual degrees in percussion performance and jazz drum set studies.

I am currently a percussionist with the Gulf Coast Symphony, and have performed at the National Music Festival, Miami Music Festival, and the Tampa-local CAMPground Festival. In my time at USF, I have performed with the USF Symphony Orchestra, USF Wind Ensemble, USF Jazz Ensemble I, the USF Percussion Ensemble, and various other ensembles on campus.

I hope to learn as much as I can about public broadcasting, as much as I can about the broad classical repertoire that we offer you, and to make a great contribution to this public radio community.
  • I grew up in Kissimmee in a family with a deep love for music. My middle school band director picked me for the bass clarinet, my first musical instrument after the recorder. I started playing the other members of the clarinet family like the regular clarinet and the alto clarinet a few years later. I'm now happy to be a Music Performance major studying with clarinetists Calvin Falwell and Asher Carlson.

I've had many great performance opportunities at USF. I traveled to Denver and Dublin with USF’s Clarinet Ensemble at ClarinetFest and performed Andrew Grenci's 'Concerto in Rock' for the bass clarinet with USF’s Symphony Orchestra.

I'm also interested in the mixed careers that many performers have, so I've completed USF’s General Business Certificate and Judy Genshaft Honors College programs. I am excited to combine these two interests by viewing the arts through a radio broadcasting lens. I look forward to helping out the WSMR team, learning about classical music programming, and improving my skills for a career in the arts!
